Tall Fescue type turf  -  (Cool season turf)

Winter treatment- Fertilizer for root hardiness and nutrients needed for healthy growth as the weather warms.

Early Spring treatment- Fertilizer for healthy color and growth, pre-emergent herbicide for crabgrass control and broadleaf weed control.

Late Spring treatment- Fertilizer for healthy color and growth, broadleaf weed control.

Early Summer treatment- Slow release fertilizer and broadleaf weed control as needed.

Summer treatment- Slow release fertilizer and broadleaf weed control as needed.

Fall treatment- Slow release fertilizer and broadleaf weed control (very limited due to aeration and seeding) as needed.

Late Fall treatment- Fertilizer and broadleaf weed control as needed.

Treatments are subject to change pending environmental conditions and product availability. Fungicides, insecticides and grassy weed controls are not included. Contact our office for price quotes on these treatments.

Beneficial services: Fescue aeration and seeding- Turf type tall fescue does not spread and may need seeding to thicken turf and repair summer damage. Aeration is needed along with the seeding to improve better seed to soil contact. In this area we begin fescue seeding near the end of September and continue through October. The service will include core aeration, quality fescue seed and seedling care instructions. Contact our office to request a price quote for your lawn.

Lime- Most soils in our area are naturally acidic with a low pH. Lime will help increase the soil pH over time and make nutrients more available to the grass as well as improve efficacy of weed controls. Lime is a natural product and a cost effective way to help your grass get the most from our treatments.

Even under the best lawn maintenance program, concerns or issues may arise between treatments due to seasonal, weather, or any number of causes or conditions. The annual treatment program includes three free service calls to address any concerns.
